I’ve gone Pescetarian!
No more meat…besides fish, and well…you know.
Lol It’s an empowering feeling to know that I have made this lifestyle change.
I’ve been seriously contemplating this diet change for months now and it took
one documentary to completely make the switch. Vegicated. It’s actually a
documentary on Veganism but I can’t go that extreme. A segment of the
documentary revealed the torture our animals go through behind slaughterhouse
walls and I was in tears. It was almost unbearable to watch how inhumane the
animals are treated. “If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a
vegetarian.” –Paul McCartney
My friend Michelle's beautiful garden!
I’ve also committed to a sobriety challenge for the entire
year of 2013. No marijuana or alcohol. Period. Instead, I’ve been drinking all
sorts of different teas and expanding my diet and consuming a hell of a lot
more fruits and vegetables than I’ve ever eaten in my life. And to my surprise,
I’m gaining weight! If you’re a hater like I once was, you should try eating
more nuts. I combine walnuts, almonds, peanuts and m&ms to munch on all
day.
This past Monday I tried something new for the first time
and accompanied my friend to a 90 minute guided meditation class. It was so rejuvenating!
I walked out of the room and thought I was floating on clouds. I love it
because it goes hand in hand with yoga and they make me feel so good.
Here’s a picture of the newest pose me and a special someone
are trying to master.
Namaste Everyone

ReplyDeleteSo what does this mean? You allow yourself to eat fish and seafood? That's a good compromise, cause I cannot see you giving up your annual holiday feast of sushi. :-)
